Lick! Stick! Stuck! and Swallow (Part 1)
It started five days into the new year (2026). That was the day I was doing my job, minding my own business, when I got a message from one of those Facebook friends that you have but don’t really know. The kind you meet once, befriend, and never speak to again. My ‘friends list’ is full of them. But we must have liked them enough at the time, so we keep them….right? Why not?
Shane Grant fell into that category for me, so I was surprised when I opened this text.

So I made a little video. It was awkward. I didn’t really know what I was doing. Whatever it was, it worked. I got the part.
Meanwhile, I did a little research on my new friend, Shane Grant. He knows what he’s doing. His first feature film is called Sleep Eaters. It’s a little more of a traditional horror than this new one. It’s fun to watch because it was filmed all around Bangor. You can watch it for free on Tubi and I encourage you to do so.

And then came the day. I acted.
I was over there for a few days of filming. I even got to contribute a little to my character, Brian. He needed to be fiddling with something during a scene. I suggested (and Shane approved) that Brian would be looking through his View-master collection. It’s a little thing but it was a part of the movie and that just thrills me.

There was blood, bugs, and cold scrambled eggs. It was magical. Movie magic! I had a wonderful time making it. I got to act with a very talented actress, make-up artist, and more (she did a LOT on this film) named Denise Roy who is a very cool person. Her, and her husband, Matthew M. Daigle, were both a pleasure to hang out with. I hope to get to know them better.

And then, Payday.
April 25, 2026, was the date of the first ever Maine underground Film Festival and the premier of Lick! Stick! Suck! and Swallow.

It was hysterical! …and gross… so gross. But funny gross. If you find gross funny. I do. At the time I’m writing this, only a few people have seen the film so I hesitate to say anything more about it. Except that I was fantastic! It was so fucking cool to see myself projected 12 times the size of god on that giant white screen in that dark theater. To hear the audience laugh (when they should have).. It was a trip I tell ya. A real trip. And my name in the credits? Chef’s kiss. It was a day I’ll remember forever.
I want to do it again.
(I’ll write more after it gets a wider release. Come for part 2…sometime)
Here’s a little video I made…
