A quick history lesson:
Back before we all carried around recording studios in our pockets, brave souls would sneak recording equipment into concerts and make ‘bootleg’ recordings that would then be made into illegal, bootleg records tapes, and CDs. Other times, radio stations would tap into the soundboards and broadcast concerts live and people would be able to make excellent recordings using home stereo equipment.
In the digital age, several music enthusiasts are preserving those records and tape and releasing them online for free as ‘liberated bootlegs’.
